Major Kimberly Horan, CD, M.Sc., B.Sc.


                          Major Horan is an Aerospace Engineer with 19 years experience in the Royal Canadian Air Force. She holds a B.Sc. from the Royal Military College of Canada and an M.Sc. from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. Her postings have included Trenton, Borden, Kingston and multiple tours in Ottawa. She is a survivor of MST and PTSD.

                      Erin Kinsey, PhD, Social Science, (Université du Québec/Harvard)

                          President of the Board/Executive Director

                          Dr. Kinsey is a wounded Gulf War Veteran who served honourably for 8 years with the United States Air Force as a Soviet Forces Intelligence Analyst. She is an experienced peer-support worker and a survivor of PTSD.  She has many years experience serving on community boards in Quebec and Ontario.

                          Major Arkell is an Engineer in the RCAF with extensive knowledge of the needs of wounded service members. She’s also a proud mother of two wonderful children. 

​                      Elaine Waddington Lamont, PhD, MSW, RSW

                          Director of Therapy and Ethics

                          Dr. Waddington Lamont is a Psychotherapist, Psychologist and Neuroscientist with professional specialties in mental health and trauma counseling. She previously served as the Secretary of the Board for Ancoura.

                      Melissa Beaudoin, Corporal, RCAF

                          Secretary of the Board

                          Melissa is currently serving in the RCAF, while transitioning to civilian life.  She is interested in       pursuing a career in social work.  She is a mom and a lover of farm animals.

                      Courtney Yau, B.A. (Finance), CPA in Progress

                          Treasurer of the Board

​                          Courtney is a community volunteer putting her knowledge in finance to work for women in the community.​


                          Kimberly Hebert, Corporal (Ret.)

​                          Member-at-Large

Kim served in the Army as a Medical Technician and retired in 2013.  She is passionate for helping military members and veterans, especially women.
